Latitude by Spencer Hill Hill Block Pinot Gris 2022, Nelson

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 06-Dec-2022
Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is elegantly presented, with aromas of citrus, orchard fruit, and stonefruit interweaved with white floral and a touch of white spice. Medium-full bodied, aromas of apple, pear and peach melded with lemon peels, cardamom and white floral. Spices grow and linger with lemon peels to a dry, long finish. The fruit shows concentration; fresh, crisp acidity injects vibrancy and features a textural, smooth mouthfeel. This smooth-flowing, textural Pinot Gris possesses a bright and complex fruit core with floral and spice details and a vibrant acid line. Match with white fish and dim sum over the next 3 years. Fermented at low temperature on small amounts of French oak and rested on lees, 12% alc. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Dec 2022 RRP $21
