Lanvin ‘Cuvee Sensation’ Champagne Rosé Brut NV

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 22-Mar-2012
Very pale salmon-pink colour, pale on edge, the bubbles are small and moderately persistent. The bouquet is tight with freshness, the aromatics of strawberries, red florals and savoury red berries along with soft, bready autolysis in good balance. Dry, crisp and in a slender style, this shows delicate strawberry flavours, with elements of toast and bread, but also with a steeliness from crisp acidity. Fine textures form a fine line and some presence. Pinot Noir body emerges on mid palate, and the wine finishes dry and crisp. A rosé Champagne with slender proportions, light fruit and some dry textures. Match with charcuterie over the next 2+ years. H. Lanvin & Fils is produced by third generation house Champagne Lombard in Epernay. A blend of Chardonnay and Pinot with Pinot red wine added. 16.5+/20 Mar 2012 RRP $82.99
