Lamont Bendigo Central Otago Riesling 2010

Riesling from New Zealand - Otago
Review Date : 01-Feb-2015
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is elegantly firm with refined and penetrating aromas of pure lime fruit and minerals, revealing a little secondary toasty nuance and exotic citrus blossom notes. Dry to taste and elegantly proportioned, tightly bound fruit flavours of white florals, lime fruit and minerals flow smoothly and seamlessly on a very fine-textured palate. This has concentration and excellent linearity, with soft, chalky, thirst-quenching acidity underlining the fruit. The fruit purity is a feature and the flavours lead to a very long, lingering dry finish with limes and minerals. This is a very fine-textured, pure, dry Riesling with a suggestion of toasty complexity. Serve as an aperitif, and with fine Asian cuisine over the next 5-6 years. Hand-picked fruit, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc., and 5 g/L rs. 18.5/20 Jun 2013 RRP $24.99
