Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Gisborne
Review Date : 05-Jul-2022
Pale straw-yellow colour with an amber hue, even colour throughout. The nose is rich and savoury, with aromas of dried flowers and spice underlying ripe pear and quince. Medium-full bodied, dry to taste, pear, quince and melon aromas filled the palate, fleshy and ripe; adorned by spice and yellow floral. The succulent fruit is ripe with good weight and reflects a creamy mouthfeel. Balanced acidity flows smoothly with phenolic texture. This is a succulent Pinot Gris with good weight and fruit intensity on a creamy mouthfeel. Match with dim sum and pork tacos over the next 2-3 years. Handpicked, fermented to 13.1% alc, <1 g/l RS. 18+/20 pts (91 pts) July 2022 RRP $32.99
