La Senda Vino de la Tierra de Castilla Verdejo 2012

Other White from Spain
Review Date : 25-Sep-2014
100% Verdejo from Castilla La Mancha, from vines 10-15 y.o., hand-picked, WBP and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.0% alc., the wine aged 3 months on lees. Bright straw-yellow colour with light golden hues, paler on rim. The bouquet is softly full and concentrated with aromas of exotic herbs, hops and yellow stonefruits intermixed with a completeness. Dry to taste, fresh, clean, subtly sweet fruit flavours of herbs, hops and minerals slow on a smooth palate with refreshing, underlying acidity. There is a fine core and a refined, dry textural thread guides the palate with good linearity to a lively, dry finish. This is an elegant and smooth flowing Verdejo with distinctive flavours of herbs and hops. Serve with seafood, herb-marinated poultry and Mediterranean cuisine over the next 2 years. 17.5-/20 Sep 2014 RRP $23.99
