La La Land Victoria Malbec 2015

Malbec from Australia - Victoria
Review Date : 22-Sep-2016
Bright, even ruby-red colour with light purple hues on the rim, youthful in appearance. The nose is elegantly proportioned and tightly bound with aromas of spicy dark red berry and cherry fruit, lifted by red florals and entwined with notes of pepper, oak char and minerally reduction elements. Medium-full bodied, the palate is fine in presentation with gently sweet and vibrant, lively fruit flavours of red berries and spicy cherries at the core. Red florals and mineral nuances add interest. The fruit sweetness is balanced by fine-grained tannin extraction and soft, lacy acidity which carries the wine with brightness and energy to a cherryish finish and length. This is an elegant and fresh, lively Malbec with red berry and cherry flavours, some minerally reduction and fine structure. Serve with pork and veal over the next 4 years. Malbec fruit from N.W. Victoria, fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged 9 months in French and American oak. 16.5+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $16.99
