La Belle Angele Pinot Noir 2020, France

Pinot Noir from France - Other
Review Date : 23-Mar-2022
Dark ruby-red with good transparency, even colour throughout, youthful appearance. The bouquet is soft and attractive, cherries, raspberries aromas melded with lilac and delicate spice. Medium-bodied, aromas of cherries and raspberries have a bright core, entwined with lilac, followed by cinnamon and pepper dusting. The mouthfeel is smooth, coated with powdery tannins; lively acidity provides an easy flow to a moderately long finish. This is an upfront Pinot Noir with juicy fruit, lilac and spice details. Match with lamb sausages and beetroot &goats cheese salad over the next 2 years. Cold soaked for 5-6 days, fermented to 12% alc in temperature-controlled vat, aged 6-8 months in vat. 16.5+/20 pts (84 pts) Mar 2022 RRP $19.95
