Kōparepare Pinot Noir 2020, Marlborough

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 12-Oct-2021
Deep ruby-red with bright clarity, lighter edged. The nose is gentle, delicate aromas of toasty oak entwined with cherries, strawberries, underlying thyme and spice. Medium-bodied, strawberries and cherries fruit have a savoury tone, melded with subtle mocha, thyme and black pepper. The mouthfeel is smooth flowing and silky with a light phenolic grip; savoury element broadens the palate and lingers with a hint of tapenade. This is a savoury Pinot Noir features a silky palate, rich red fruit, and delicate herb and pepper linger. Match with Provençal chicken and lamb chops over the next 3 years. Fermented to 13.5% alc, vegan friendly. 18/20 pts (90 pts) Oct 2021 RRP $24.99
