Kono Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2016

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 07-Sep-2016
Bright, very pale straw, near colourless on the rim. The nose is soft and well packed with up-front aromas of pungent passionfruit along with steely, refreshing herb and nettle notes and subtle, mouthwatering mineral suggestions. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate possesses up-front and mouthfilling flavours of passionfruit, green stonefruits, herbs and cut grass. The mouthfeel is crisp with zesty acidity and the wine flows along a grainy-textured, dry line with some grip. The wine carries to a moderately sustained, dry, textural finish with passionfruit flavours. This is an up-front, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with herb and nettle notes on a dry, grainy-textured palate. Serve with salads and vegetables and herb-marinated seafood and poultry dishes over the next 2 years. Marlborough fruit cool-fermented in tank to 12.4% alc. and 4.2 g/L RS. 16.5+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $N/A
