Kokako Farms Uccello Arneis Brut NV, Hawke’s Bay

Sparkling Wine from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 09-May-2024
Bright, even, pale lemon gold. Vibrant and consistent bead. The nose is softly full and delicate, with fresh aromas of apple, pear, blossom and a subtle note of creamy yeastiness. Medium-bodied, aromas of yellow and green apples, ripe pear entwined with pear blossom, cider, subtle yeasty autolysis and a hint of fennel seeds. The fruit shows concentration and depth; creamy moose elevates and broadens the palate, along with fresh acidity carries to an appetising, lingering finish. This Arneis sparkling Brut possesses vibrancy and fruit purity on a crisp and moreish palate. Serve as an aperitif or match with pork cheek croquettes over the next 3 years. 100% Arneis from Hawke's Bay, fermented cool in tank and aged on lees for 3 months; then produced by Charmat method, 7.5 g/l RS. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) May 2024 RRP $25
