Koha Pinot Noir 2019, Marlborough

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Oct-2020
Deep, moderate ruby-red with a deep purple hue, faintly lighter on edge. The nose is gently full, upfront aromas of ripe black cherries, plum jam underlying subtle black pepper and dark herbs. Medium-full bodied, vibrant fruit of black cherries, red plums are youthful and just ripe, enlivened by black pepper and dark herbs. The palate has a smooth flow with grainy tannin extraction. A bright palate supported by fresh acidity lends a vibrant red-fruited finish. This is a straightforward Pinot Noir with vibrant fruit on a grainy tannin textured palate. Match with lamb skewer and antipasto over the next 2 years. 16/20 pts Sept 2020 RRP $23.95
