Klein Constantia ‘Metis’ Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa
Review Date : 27-Sep-2016
Pale straw-yellow colour with some depth. The bouquet is tight and concentrated with fresh, clear and focussed aromas of herbs and white florals, along with mineral notes. This has intensity, penetration and finesse. Dry to taste, the fruit flavours show with richness and luscious liveliness. The mouthfeel is still refreshing, but soft-textured, growing in breadth, unveiling savoury gooseberry fruit with capsicums and minerals. The fruit has real presence and carries to a lingering finish with some grip. This has richness and is beginning to show some maturity in the mouthfeel. Cool-fermented by indigenous yeasts to 13.82% alc. and 2.1 g/L RS, the wine aged 10 months on lees. 17.5+/20 Sep 2016 RRP $N/A
