Kingfisher Bay Marlborough Pinot Gris 2010

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 27-Mar-2011
Brilliant straw-yellow colour, this has a fresh, elegant nose of white stonefruits and spiced pears along with some herb nuances. Off-dry to taste, this is a light, crisp and steely textured wine showing aromatic pear and nectarine fruit flavours with some honey notes. Up-front and uncomplicated, the crisp nature will make it a good match with seafood and moderately flavoured Pacific Rim or Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Made from fruit from the Awatere and Wairau valleys cool-fermented to 13.5% alc. and 6.5 g/L rs. Made by Alana McGettigan. 16.0-/20 Mar 2011 RRP $10.99
