Kina Cliffs Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 16-Sep-2014
Bright, very pale straw-green, near colourless on rim. This has an elegant and well-proportioned, fresh nose of white florals and grassy, cooler spectrum aromas unfolding nettle and passionfruit nuances in the glass. Dryish to taste and light-bodied, up-front, lusciously juicy fruit flavours of gooseberries and cut grass are enriched by subtle passionfruit notes and form a rich core. The mouthfeel is enlivened by lacy acidity and the flavours follow a soft-textured line, leading to a soft, dry and lingering finish with passionfruit notes. This is a light, up-front, soft and juicy Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit ad grassy flavours. Serve as an aperitif, with salads and vegetables and Asian cuisine over the next 2 years. Fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 12.5% alc. and 6 g/L RS, the wine aged 3 months on light lees with batonnage. 17.0/20 Sep 2014 RRP $22.00
