Kina Cliffs Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 16-Sep-2014
Fruit cool-fermented in tank to 13.5% alc. and 3.8 g/L RS, the wine aged 3 months on light lees with batonnage. Bright, even, pale straw yellow colour with green hues. The nose is softly full and broad with deep aromas of cut grass, herbs capsicums along with some cooler stalky elements and the beginnings of secondary bean-like development, Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, soft and lush fruit flavours of gooseberries and grass intermingle with herbs, bean and minerally notes, gently filling the palate. The mouthfeel is harmoniously balanced, with good acidity in the background, and the wine flows smoothly to a soft finish. This is a soft, fulsome Sauvignon Blanc that is beginning to come into maturity. Serve with herb marinated seafood, poultry and pork over the next 18 months to 2 years. 16.5+/20 Sep 2014 RRP $22.00
