Kina Beach Vineyard Nelson Sauvignon Blanc 2012

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Nelson
Review Date : 10-Jun-2014
Bright, pale straw-yellow colour with slight green hues on edge. The bouquet is full and gently harmonious with aromas of ripe gooseberry fruit along with secondary bean-like nuances entwined with tropical fruits, grass and yellow capsicums. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the mouthfeel is bright and lively, with an acid raciness enhancing the up-front flavours of ripe gooseberries, yellow stonefruits, savoury beans and tropical fruits. The palate is underlined by a light phenolic line that carries the wine to a crisp, dry, slightly textured, lightly nuanced finish. This is an up-front, lively Sauvignon Blanc showing ripe fruit flavours and the beginnings of secondary development. Match with salads, vegetables and Asian fare over the next 18 months – 2 years. Hand-picked fruit cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and <3.32 g/L RS. 16.5/20 Jun 2014 RRP $20.00
