Kin by Te Kano Pinot Noir 2019, Central Otago

Pinot Noir from New Zealand - Central Otago & Waitaki
Review Date : 22-Oct-2021
Deep, ruby-red with a black core, good transparency, faintly lighter on the rim. The nose is softly full, intensely fragranced with cherries, plum skins, and a hint of herbs and cinnamon bark melded with violet. Light-bodied, aromas of cherries, red berries, plum skins are bright, enriched by deep scents of violet, cinnamon, black pepper and oregano. Supple tannin extraction contributes to a light, silky mouthfeel, linger elegantly. Juicy acidity supports the delicate fruit, along with deep floral and spice details showing strength and complexity. This is a light-bodied Pinot Noir with juicy red fruit, violet and spice elements on a silky mouthfeel. Match with pork chops and quail over the next 3 years. Fermented to 14% alc. 18.5/20 (93 pts) Oct 2021 RRP $29
