Kim Crawford ‘Reserve’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2015

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Dec-2015
Bright, very pale straw colour with green hues, near colourless on the rim. The nose is tight and elegant with finely concentrated aromas of pungent passionfruit along with fresh herbs, limes, gooseberries and mineral nuances. This is penetrating, and reveals cut grass and nettly elements with aeration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is tight, slender and sleek with up-front juicy passionfruit, gooseberry, cut grass and nettle flavours. The mouthfeel is slippery and racy, smooth-flowing, following a light textured line, and enlivened by crisp acidity. The wine leads to tight, thirst-quenching, light, passionfruity finish. This is a crisp, slippery Sauvignon Blanc with passionfruit and cut grass flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 2 years. 75% Wairau Valley fruit and 25% Awatere Valley, cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 5.0 g/L RS. 17.0+/20 Dec 2015 RRP $16.99
