Kevern Walker Hawke’s Bay Pinot Gris 2009

Pinot Gris from New Zealand - Hawke's Bay
Review Date : 16-Mar-2011
Fermented to 13.5% alc. and with 7.0 g/L rs. This has a bright light golden hued straw-yellow colour and a full, voluminous bouquet of ripe yellow stonefruits with a touch of wild honey, earth, flint and dried herbs. Dryish to taste, there is a little alcohol warmth at first giving way to a somewhat broad palate with light stonefruit and lime-like flavours. The mid-palate has fresh acidity showing, and the flavours diminish a little on the dry finish. An open-styled wine with restrained fruitiness to serve with more subtle poultry and pork dishes over the next 2 years. 400 cases made. 15.5-/20 Mar 2011 RRP $14.00
