Kerpen Wehlener Sonnenuhr Riesling Spatlese * 2004

Riesling from Germany
Review Date : 28-Mar-2014
Even, light straw-yellow colour with lemony-gold hues, pale on rim. The bouquet is very full with secondary development characters, the honey and yellow florals infused with caramel, cream and custard, toast, as well as suggestions of nutty, oxidative elements. This is fully mature. Sweet to taste, the mouthfeel is very soft and luscious with great harmony. Flavours of orange and marmalade unfold to show a full array of citrus fruits melded with honey, custard, cream and toast. The wine flows seamlessly, with excellent richness, to a long, lingering finish. This is on its plateau, but will continue at this level for another 4-5 years. 8.0% alc., 97 g/L RS. 18.5+/20 Mar 2014 RRP $45.00
