Bright, medium yellow, youthful, even throughout. The nose is gently full with aromas of tropical pineapple, mangoes, lemon, along with spicy paprika and vanilla. Medium-full bodied, there's a good core of fruit flavours of grilled pineapple, mango, lemon, melon, melded with cream, vanilla and oak spices. The fruit has ripe flavours and vibrancy; balanced by mouthwatering acidity. Subtle creaminess adds to the body, along with a slight phenolic grip spiked with vanilla and oak spices in well-proportioned. The wine is bright and straight-forward with layers of interest, vibrant acidity that lifts the palate to a moreish finish. Match with roasted chicken and creamy, cheese bake sauce over the next 3-4 years. Whole cluster pressed, fermented to 13.5% alc. 93% barrel-fermented and sur lie for 10 months, 10% new French & American oak. 18.5-/20 pts Aug 2020 RRP $35
