Kendall-Jackson ‘Vintner’s Reserve’ California Pinot Noir 2013

Pinot Noir from USA
Review Date : 14-Jan-2015
Light ruby-red colour with youthful purple hues, lighter on rim. The nose is redolent of ripe strawberries and dark cherries with lifted red floral perfumes. Dark herbal detail and oak elements unfold, adding interest. Medium-bodied and slender in presentation, the palate has a concentrated core of strawberry fruit along with dark cherries. This is fresh, lively and sweet with good richness enhanced by the acidity. Fine-grained tannins support the fruit, and the wine blossoms in fragrant florals and subtle herbal elemnts, carrying through to a long, finely concentrated finish. This is a fresh lively and elegantly concentrated, fragrant Pinot Noir. Serve with poultry and pork dishes over the next 4-5 years. Fruit from Monterey and Santa Barbara fermented to 13.5% alc., the wine aged in new and seasoned French oak. 18.0+/20 Nov 2014 RRP $45.00
