Kaos Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2014

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 08-Jun-2015
Bright, light, lemony straw-yellow colour with slight green hues, pale edged. The nose is fresh, tight and elegantly expressed with pure, uncomplicated cool-spectrum gooseberry, pungent passionfruit and nettle-like aromas, along with chalky, mineral notes,. Dry to taste, the palate is tight and focussed, quite slender in proportion with good intensity of gooseberry, cut-grass and nettle-like fruit flavours. Some tropical fruit and pungent elements emerge and are carried along a soft-textured phenolic line by soft acidity. The wine leads to a crisp, chalky, mouthwatering finish. This is a tight and elegant cool-spectrum Sauvignon Blanc with soft textures and acid, and a chalky finish. Serve with seafood and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2 years. Fruit from organic vineyards in the Wairau Valley, cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. Certified BioGro organic. 16.0+/20 Jun 2015 RRP $18.99
