A single vineyard wine, the fruit was grown on the Moutere clay soils, cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc. and 10.5 g/L rs. It has a very pale, youthful, straw-yellow colour and a full, moderately intense nose of spiced pears, along with mineral overtones and youthful, banana-like fermentation esters. The palate is off-dry with lovely pear, white stonefruit and minerally flavours along with youthful esters-like notes. There is good weight and developing richness and texture, matching a little alcohol warmth. Still youthful, this should become more classically varietal over the next 2-4 years.
