Bright, pale straw colour with green hues, very pale edged. The bouquet is elegantly proportion with intense, steely and refreshing aromas of white and yellow stonefruits, along with citrus elements melded with layers of lemon-curd MLF, with nutty oak detail. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, up-front and bold flavours of stonefruit and lemon-curd are harmoniously melded, forming a dense and softly textured core. Butterscotch and creamy MLF flavours unfold to fill the palate, and the wine flows with good line and drive to a crisp finish with some phenolic firmness. This is a soft, full and rounded Chardonnay with stonefruit and buttery, lemon-curd MLF flavours. Serve with poultry and pork over the next 2-3+ years. Hawke’s Bay fruit fermented in stainless-steel to 13.5% alc., the wine given limited oak contact. 17.0/20 Apr 2015 RRP $14.99
