Julicher Martinborough Rosé 2014

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Apr-2015
Bright, light purple-pink colour, pale on rim, youthful in appearance. The nose is fresh with vibrant and bright raspberry and cranberry fruit aromas unfolding red florals and subtle confectionary elements. This has depth and good intensity and expressed with a refreshing, steeliness. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours of raspberries, cranberries and pomegranate show with clarity and definition, forming a firm core with excellent linearity. The wine follows a very fine textured line, flowing freely, revealing floral and confectionary nuances. The mouthfeel is slippery and fresh with cut, and carries to a long, aromatic finish with lifted florals. This is a refreshing, focussed rosé with aromatic raspberry and cranberry fruit flavours and a fine-textured palate with cut. Match with dim sum, tapas and antipasto over the next 2 years. Clone 667 and Abel Pinot Noir fruit given a couple of hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 14.12% alc. and 1.05 g/L RS. 18.0/20 Apr 2015 RRP $20.00
