Jules Taylor Sauvignon Blanc 2022, Marlborough

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 25-Jul-2022
Bright, even, pale straw yellow with a slight green sheen. This has a classic, distinctive bouquet of passionfruit and gooseberries intermixed with lime flowers and fresh-cut grass. Medium-light bodied, aromas of passionfruit, gooseberries and pear melded with a hint of saline, fresh-cut grass, lime flowers and white spice on the finish. The mouthfeel is lightly chalky, flows effortlessly on a salivating acid drive, carrying spice and citrus zest. This classic Sauvignon Blanc features passionfruit and gooseberries, a grassy character on a smooth-flowing, vibrant drive. Match with white fish and diamond clams over the next 3 years. Fruit from Taylor Pass, Lower Wairau, Hawkesbury and Awatere sub-regions, fermented cool to 13.2% alc, 1.3 g/l RS. 18.5/20 pts (93 pts) July 2022 RRP $25
