Jules Taylor Rosé 2021, Gisborne

Rosé from New Zealand - Gisborne
Review Date : 28-Jun-2021
Bright, pale berry-pink with some depth, even colour throughout. The nose is gently full, penetrating aromas of stonefruit, pear and strawberries melded with subtle red blossoms. Medium-bodied, aromas of strawberries, berries are dominant, along with stonefruit and pear. Red blossoms and rose petals are perfumed, and with substance, a hint of spice linger on the finish. There's a hint of sweetness that provides a lush mouthfeel, supported by soft yet lively acidity. This is a flavoursome Merlot rosé with flavours of red fruit, stonefruit and pear on a fresh and rounded palate. Serve as an aperitif or match with smoked salmon benedict over the next 2-3 years. Cool fermented to 13.34% alc, 1.6 g/l RS. 18+/ 20 pts (91 pts) June 2021 RRP $24.99
