Brilliant straw-yellow colour with lemon-green hues, a little lighter on the rim. This has an elegant and refined, tightly bound nose with fresh fruit aromas of passionfruit, gooseberries and aromatic fresh herbs, unfolding a subtle layering of green stonefuits, nutty suggestions and a hint of smoke. This has lovely purity and clarity of expression. Medium-full bodied, the palate is elegantly proportioned and tightly concentrated with restrained flavours of passionfruit, gooseberries and green stonefruits, and subtle notes of nuts. The mouthfeel is refreshing with crisp, lacy acidity, and the wine flows with good energy and drive along a very fine, phenolic-textured line, leading to a thirst-quenching, brisk, lingering finish. This is a refined, tightly bound, oak-influenced Sauvignon Blanc with freshness and fine-textured linearity and nutty detail. Match with seafood, salads and vegetables, and herb-marinated white meat dishes over the next 3+ years.
