Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough

The Trophy Sauvignon Blanc from the 2010 ANZWA. Made from Wairau and Awatere fruit, cool-fermented to 13.3% alc. and 4.0 g/L rs, this was youthfully pale in colour, with rich and deep pungent passionfruit aromas and flavours, and gorgeously slippery acidity. Very much a richer style, a la Saint Clair, this comes as no surprise, as Jules has worked with the likes of Matt Thomson and Kim Crawford, making similarly successfully styled wines. Dec 2010
