Bright, pale cerise-pink colour with Some depth and light purple hues on the rim. The nose is fresh with firmly packed and intense aroma of strawberries and cream and a little raspberry fruit, with lifted red florals. The fruit is vibrant and mouthwatering, unfolding hints of confectionary. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate has a fine and elegantly concentrated, deep, core of strawberries, and raspberries and cream, along with bright red floral notes. The palate is refreshing and vigorous with bright acidity, and a thirst-quenching, dry, fine-textured line. The wine flows with good linearity, leading to a long, mouth-wateringly dry finish of strawberries, raspberries and cherries. This is a firmly concentrated, dry rosé with intense flavours of strawberries and raspberries and lifted florals, with a mouthwatering finish. Match with canapes and antipasto over the next 2 years. A blend of 96.5% Merlot from the ‘Briant’ vineyard, Gisborne, and 3.5% Pinot Noir from the ‘Wrekin’ vineyard, Marlborough, the fruit given 12-16 hours on skins and cool-fermented to 13.0% alc. and 1 g/L RS. 18.0+/20 Aug 2017 RRP $23.99
