Josmeyer Alsace Grand Cru Riesling ‘Brand’ 2009

Riesling from France - Alsace
Review Date : 07-Mar-2014
Brilliant straw-yellow with lemon-green hues. The bouquet is very fine and intensely penetrating with great purity and cut, showing white floral, stonefruit, mineral and wet-stone aromatics. This is tightly bound with steely reserve and depth. Dry to taste, the palate features great linearity, with underlying fruit extract and driven power. Racy, crisp acidity is a feature, providing steeliness, cut and purity. Sleek florals stonefruits and minerals form a firm core and the wine follows a refined phenolic line leading to a very long, minerally, nutty finish. This is a steel Riesling with great drive and linearity. It should evolve with greater complexity over the next 10-12 years. 13.0% alc. 19.0-/20 Feb 2014 RRP $93.00
