Beaujolais cru, with Gamay fruit hand-picked, undergoing semi-carbonic maceration with full bunches, the wine aged in stainless-steel vat. Dark, deep, purple-hued black red colour. The bouquet is tightly concentrated and dense, a little restrained, showing aromas of dark red cherry fruit, violet florals and whole berry carbonic maceration esters with confectionary elements. Medium-bodied, there are juicy fruit flavours of bright dark cherries, jam, violets and confectionary, enlivened by lively acidity. Some phenolics add a textural line and firmness to the mouthfeel, and the wine flows with drive to a moderately sustained red fruited finish. This is a firm textured Beaujolais cru.
