Joseph Drouhin ‘Laforet’ Bourgogne Pinot Noir 2010

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 19-Apr-2013
Light ruby-red colour with some purple hues, showing some depth. This has a light but penetrating bouquet, quite piquant and fragrant with red cherry fruit, some pepper and earthiness, quite straightforward. Light-bodied, this is a smaller-scaled, slender wine with an uncomplicated flavour profile of red berries, pepper and herbs. The acidity is a feature, providing freshness and crispness. The palate is light in extract and modest in length, but the wine is balanced in proportion and attractively pleasing. Aged in tank and in seasoned oak. Drink over the next 2-3 years. 15.5-/20 Apr 2013 RRP $25.15
