Joseph Drouhin Givry 2010

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 19-Apr-2013
From Givry in the Cote Chalonnaise, the wine aged 12-15 months in 10% new oak. Light ruby-red colour with some purple hues, pale on rim. This has a soft and delicate nose melding aromas of fragrant red florals with minerals, revealing meat and savoury undergrowth detail in the glass. Medium-light bodied, this is an elegant wine with fresh, lacy acidity as the feature. The fruit flavours are light but positive, with red berry fruits, red florals and currant and herb elements. Fine, grainy tannins support the fruit, with the acidity providing energy and liveliness which leads to a good finish. A light, up-front and refreshing Givry to drink over the next 3-5 years. 16.5/20 Apr 2013 RRP $30.75
