Joseph Drouhin Chambertin ‘Clos de Beze’ Grand Cru 2006

Pinot Noir from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Aug-2012
Based in Beaune. From 0.12 ha, 13.5% alc. The lightest colour of the flight, pale red, some garnet. Very elegant on nose, very gentle and integrated aromas of soft red fruits and delicate savoury secondary nuances, quite beautiful on bouquet. An elegantly sized wine, quite tightly bound, drying in mouthfeel, with some acidity standing out. Somewhat sinewy, narrower in profile with a lean linearity. Restrained and subtle red fruits now developing secondary layers. Could be a little more substantial and rich for a Clos de Beze? 7-9+ years easily. 17.5+/20 Aug 2012
