Johner Estate Wairarapa Pinot Noir Rosé 2013

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Sep-2013
Pinot Noir fruit destemmed and given 24 hours maceration on skins and tank-fermented to 14.5% alc. and 6 g/L RS. Bright, light, strawberry-pink colour with light purple hues on rim. Fresh, bright and mouthwatering aromas of strawberries and watermelon are the feature on the nose and are lifted by delicate red floral and fruit bon-bon nuances. Dry to taste, a soft core of lifted strawberry and confectionary fruit flavours is supported by fine textures and ripe acidity. The flavours unfold, gently filling the palate. The mouthfeel is dry with soft textures providing a growing, thirst-quenching linearity that leads to a well-concentrated, sustained finish with confectionary flavours. This is a fresh, bright, strawberry fruited rosé with a soft, mouthwatering palate. A wine to serve al fresco over the next 2 years. 16.5+/20 Sep 2013 RRP $18.00
