Fruit indigenous yeast fermented in seasoned oak to 13.5% alc. and 5.5 g/L RS, the wine aged 9 months in barrel undergoing 4 months batonnage. Bright, pale straw-yellow colour, lighter on rim. This has a very fine and light nose with tightly held white stonefruit aromas, with suggestion of white florals and honeysuckle. The aromatics are fresh and primary, with minerally elements in the Pinot Grigio style. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, light flavours of stonefruits are melded with savoury apples and a little muskiness adding interest. The flavours are uncomplicated and the mouthfeel refreshingly clean. This flows with good acid liveliness and tension, leading to a crisp, mouthwatering finish. This is an elegant, dry Pinot Gris with light apple flavours and a fresh mouthfeel. Serve with seafood and poultry over the next 3 years. 16.5/20 Apr 2015 RRP $24.00
