Fruit from the ‘Johner’ vineyard indigenous yeast fermented on skins to 13.4% alc., 30% of the wine aged in seasoned oak. Full, even, light golden-yellow colour with some depth. The nose is full and voluminous with solidly packed and bold aromas of ripe apricots and savour stonefruit kernels entwined with ginger and nutty notes, and lifted by nuances of exotic florals. Dry to taste and medium-full bodied, ripe apricot fruit flavours form a deep core with layers of savoury stonefruit kernels and nuts, along with bitter citrus fruit elements. The mouthfeel is fulsome and rounded, and follows a finely textured line, the acidity discreet, allow the palate to grow in lusciousness. The wine carries to a strong, flavoursome and long lingering finish. This is a full, flavoursome Viognier with ripe, savoury apricot fruit flavours.
