Johner Estate Gladstone Pinot Noir Rosé 2015

Rose from New Zealand - Wairarapa & Wellington
Review Date : 20-Sep-2015
100% Pinot Noir given 24 hours skin contact and cool-fermented in stainless-steel to 14.5% alc. and 4.5 g/L RS. Light candyfloss pink colour with some depth and light purple hue on the rim. The nose is softly concentrated with aromas of cranberries, quince and strawberries and cream, along with violet floral nuances, fresh herbs and mineral detail, unveiling fruit pastille elements. Dry to taste and medium to medium-full bodied, the fruit flavours of cranberries, strawberries and quince are delicately expressed and lifted by confectionary and floral notes. This has good vinosity and presence, the mouthfeel crisp, lively and thirst-quenching with lacy acidity and light phenolic textures. The fine dry grip carries the palate to a clean, refreshingly juicy finish with strawberry and floral notes. This is a crisp, fine-textured, elegant, mouthwatering rosé with subtle cranberry, strawberry and quince flavours. Serve as an aperitif and with antipasto over the next 2 years. 17.5/20 Sep 2015 RRP $20.00
