John Forrest ‘Collection’ Brancott Valley Marlborough Noble Riesling 2005

Sweet Wine from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 02-Sep-2011
9.0% alc. and 220 g/L rs. Bright, deep, golden-yellow colour with a lighter edge, this has a full, voluminous and densely packed nose that reveals layers of ripe citrus and tropical fruits with honey, marmalade, toast and caramel aromas. Very rich and sweet, the array of flavours of ripe citrus and apricot fruits, wild honey and marmalade are nuanced by complex secondary toast and caramel notes. The palate textures are creamy and seamlessly soft, the wine unctuous and decadent, and is drinking on its plateau. The underlying acidity will see it keep another 5-7 years.  Aug 2011
