Jehan Guillaume Cotes du Rhone 2009

Grenache from France - Rhone
Review Date : 08-May-2011
A blend of Grenache and Syrah from this Gigondas-based southern Rhone producer. Medium deep ruby-red with a pale purple-hued colour, this has a light, fresh bouquet of red berry fruits, earth and herbs, lifted with raspberry fragrance. Medium-bodied, the palate shows fresh, gently sweet, dark raspberry and plum flavours, distinctively Grenache in expression, framed with moderately extracted tannins that provide a dry, fine and firm texture. The wine is immediately accessible and will make a good match with antipasto, duck and pork over the next 3-4 years. 13.5% alc. 16.0/20 May 2011 RRP $15.00
