Bright, light straw-yellow colour with a little depth, paler on the edge. the bubbles persistent and moderately fine. The nose is soft and gently full with aromas of fresh white and yellow stonefruits along with subtle notes of yellow florals and an amalgam of delicate bready-yeast autolysis and minerals. The aromatics build to form a taut heart. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the palate is refreshing with juicy and lush white and yellow stonefruit flavours and a very light underlay of bread and yeast. The fruit is the feature, and forms a well-packed core with apple and yeast detail, enhanced by lacy acidity. The flavours carry along a fine phenolic line leading to an elegant finish. This is a fresh and elegant, fruit-focussed Champagne with stonefruit flavours and subtle autolysis. Serve as an aperitif over the next 2+ years. 100% Pinot Noir from the 2014 and 2013 vintages, fermented to 12.0% alc., undergoing MLF, with 7.08 g/L dosage. Disgorged Jan 2018. The nose is firmly packed, well concentrated and tightly bound with aromas of white and yellow stonefruits along with a fresh, steely, minerally edge. Very fine yeasty autolysis and nutty detail underlines the fruit, and the aromatics show clarity and precision. Dryish to taste and medium-bodied, the palate features a tight core with subtly sweet stonefruit and yellow floral flavours. The mousse is refreshing and lively and along with crisp acidity lends a lively mouthfeel. The yeast autolysis follows the fine-textured line and the wine carries to a slightly grippy finish with steel and minerals, and floral and citrus fruit nuances. This dryish Champagne is fresh, bright and aromatic with good grip and acidity, and a steely finish. Match with aperitif and Pacific Rim fare over the next 2-3 years. 100% Pinot Noir, 70% from the 2012 harvest and 30% from 2011, fermented to 12% alc., with 9.5 g/L dosage. Disgorged August 2015.
