Jean Josselin Champagne Blanc de Blancs 2011

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 13-Jun-2016
Full, even, light golden-yellow colour with green-gold hues, lighter on the rim. The bubbles are very persistent, abundant and fine. This has a very fresh and bright, tightly bound nose which unfolds ethereal white florals and white stonefruits, melded with fine and firm bready autolysis. Delicate floral detail unfolds to add complexity. The aromatics possess clarity, depth and penetration. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the flavours of white stonefruits, florals and citrus nuances are elegant and well-bound, and have real intensity and penetration. The fruit is harmoniously balanced by precise bready autolysis. The mouthfeel is brisk from crisp acidity and shows some creaminess from the mousse. The wine flows along a tight dry, phenolic linw leading to a light, sustained, nuanced finish. This is a tightly bound, slender, but penetrating Blanc de Blanc Champagne with a brisk, mouthwatering palate. Serve as an aperitif and with seafood over the next 3-4 years. 100% Chardonnay, fermented to 12.0% alc., with 8.7 g/L dosage. Disgorged September 2015. Lot L 0915 18.5-/20 Jun 2016 RRP $69.50
