Jean Josselin Audace Rosé Extra Brut NV, Champagne

Sparkling Wine from France - Champagne
Review Date : 07-May-2021
Bright, light ruby-red, even colour throughout. Excellent, persistent fine bead. The bouquet is soft and fresh with nuances of red berries, strawberries and pomegranate, a hint of red florals to follow and subtle creamy autolysis detail. Medium-full bodied, dry to taste, juicy red fruit of red berries, strawberries and pomegranate are fresh and vibrant, complexed by red florals, followed by a subtle aroma of an almond croissant. Energetic acidity guided red fruit through finely woven phenolic texture, providing a lightly chalky mouthfeel. This is a dry, red-fruited rosé Champagne with a salivating acid line and a chalky mouthfeel. Match with beef carpaccio and crispy pork terrine over the next 3-4 years. Fruit sourced from aGye-sur-Seine in the Cote des Bar, 100% Pinot Noir from a single parcel Beauregard, colour by skin maceration, aged on lees for 30 months, 3 g/l dosage. 18-/ 20 pts (89 pts) May 2021 RRP $58.90
