Jean Chartron Puligny-Montrachet 2011

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 18-Sep-2014
Full straw-yelow colour with light golden hues. The nose is very fine and pure with good intensity of white stonefruits and white florals, the oaking well-integrated. This has an elegant and refined bouquet. An elegant wine on palate, finely-featured and quite taut and tightly held. White florals show and follow a refine line with a thread of phenolics. The acidity is ripe and soft, and the wine carries to a very dry, lingering finish. This is a pure, fine-featured Puligny-Montrachet with some elegance. 4-6 years. Fruit from 0.33 ha of vines, aged 31 – 61 y.o. from just north of the village, the wine aged 10 months in 25% new barrels. 18.0-/20 Sep 2014 RRP $79.00
