Jean Chartron Puligny-Montrachet 1er ‘Clos du Cailleret’ Monopole 2011

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 18-Sep-2014
Bright straw-yellow colour with green-gold at the heart, lighter on edge. The nose is one of finesse with tightly bound acacia white florals, nuts and minerals, along with a steely vitality. The finesse is reiterated on palate, tightly bound and concentrated, showing beautiful purity of white florals and white stonefruit flavours. The wine has beautiful focus and precision with a refined mouthfeel and soft acid vitality. It finishes long and dry. Beautifully fine-featured with precise aromatics. 6-8 years. Fruit from 0.99 ha of wines, aged 21 – 67 y.o. from the ‘Clod du Cailleret’ monopole, the wine aged 12 months in 30% new barrels. 18.5/20 Sep 2014 RRP $120.00
