Jaeger-Defaix Rully 1er ‘Les Cloux’ 2011

Chardonnay from France - Burgandy
Review Date : 28-Nov-2013
Bright, light golden hued straw yellow colour with depth. The nose is full with good intensity of ripe citrus fruits, barrel-ferment nuttiness and restrained toasty oak. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, the fruit flavours are restrained, with the acid line and drive the feature on palate. Stonefruit and toasty notes are carried by the acidity with plenty of energy and tension, but a little richness and unctuousness provides sufficient roundness to prevent any austerity. This is a fine, racy Rully Blanc. Fully barrel-fermented and aged 18 months in oak. 17.5-/20 Nov 2013 RRP $63.00
