Jacob’s Creek ‘Wah’ 2012

Blended White from Australia - Other
Review Date : 27-Nov-2013
Brilliant straw-yellow colour with green hues, lighter on rim. This has a fresh nose of citrus and yellow stonefruit aromas, expressive of Chardonnay, softly intermixed with flint and a little buttery MLF as well as a floral lift. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, light flavours of stonefruits, butter and flint form a positive core. The palate features a fine, grainy texture and dry line with soft acidity contributing to a round mouthfeel and some weight. Subtle flavour nuances of florals and herbs add interest and carry through to a dry, moderately long finish. This is a soft, textural wine with a significant Chardonnay personality and good weight. Match with seafood, poultry and of course, Japanese fare, over the next 2 years. A blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blanc picked for a broad spectrum of flavours, fermented to 13.0% alc., with portions of the wine undergoing lees contact and MLF. 16.5/20 Nov 2013 RRP $21.99
