Jackson Estate ‘Stich’ Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013

Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand - Marlborough
Review Date : 04-Jun-2014
Bright, very pale straw colour with slight green hues, near colourless on edge. The nose is tightly bound with an elegant amalgam of passionfruit infused with chalky minerals, unfolding herbal notes with lifted lime, capsicum and grassy elements. Dry to taste and medium-bodied, this has a gentle core of pungent passionfruit flavours and a soft mouthfeel. The palate is dry and thirst-quenching with soft, ripe acidity and a soft phenolic line, the chalky, minerally textures leading to moderately long, passionfruity finish. This is an elegantly weighted, passionfruity Sauvignon Blanc with a chalky, mouthwatering palate. Match with seafood, poultry and goats cheeses over the next 2 years. Fruit from the company’s three vineyards in the Wairau and Waihopi Valleys, cool-fermented in tank to 13.0% alc. and 3.5 g/L RS, the wine aged 4 months on light lees. 17.5+/20 Jun 2014 RRP $21.00
